are you suffering from ghajiniophilia?

are you suffering from ghajiniophilia? short term memory... huh...! well to be more clear, i must remark that we are going to discuss about your "memory quotient" and also some tips of memory optimisation, but all that in some bollywoodian manner! so, let's begin...

"kya karen kya na karen ye kaisi mushkil hai?"
with so much less time for various competitions and lesser if you have boards, you guys must be thinking, planning, time tabling, indexing, dreaming and screaming about what to do? well, not so difficult! those who are already confident (and have reason to be confident like good scores in pre boards and your coaching's test series... not your home based test score... why? shall discuss tomorrow!) can just go for as much revision as they can and solve as many questions as they can from previous years papers. those who are still in dilemma about their success should focus on the important topics only in various subjects if preparing for competitions (consult your coaching teachers for that.... and can consult me for that on orkut or blog). if you have boards- must pay huge attention towards them- they don't have second attempt and it's fairly easy to get underscored there!

"naam hai siddhu!"
must have heard the song by Kailash where he said-" sapne dekhe bade bade, kaam koi bhi na karna pade"- well you may be too lucky to get that magical potato, a lottery (or Deepika). so, if you dream big- plan bigger- and accomplish biggest! do not underestimate your potential and try to push yourself as far as you can! here are some short tips
  • eat light! will help you to concentrate (and get toned figures and physiques)
  • sleep tight! must sleep for 6 (not more) to 4 (not less) hrs daily
  • just chill! (you are facing exams since 3 yrs age, these are no different)
  • where's the party tonight? (good to move out of studies for few hrs every weekend)
  • talli hua! (you are living with yourself for such a long time and must be aware of the thing that do not suit you- like if having that yummy, chocolaty, cruncy cornetto gives you a bad throat in winters, better keep off!)
"chak de!"
do you have- confidence, perseverence and will to put in efforts? if yes, then there is no reason whatsoever, that this world can give to make you unsuccessful! your success depends on your efforts, so- "chak de india"

liked the post, do comment!

coming up tomorrow- re-Vibe

a doctor's journey

from the beginning of time and in every era saving life had been considered as most noble of any deed. today, though, it has turned out to be a profession, but it still retains the dignity.
what to do to be a doctor, is what we have been constantly discussing. today, i would love to discuss the life after pmt i.e when you pursue your dream career

subjects in mbbs:
you must be aware that total duration of mbbs is 5 and 1/2 years. in this duration, three mbbs exams known as professional exams are taken and subjects are divided as the syllabus for the examinations
in the first professional exams para clinical subjects i.e anatomy, physiology and biochemistry is included
in the second professional exams pathology, microbiology, pharmacology and forensic medicine are included
in the third and final professional exams surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, opthalmology, otorhinolaryngology(E.N.T) and preventive & social medicine are included
now, with semester system enforced, exams are conducted every six months unlike the yearly schedule earlier. each semester is of six months and contain three subjects

clinical postings:
during the clinical postings in various departments of the hospital associated with the medical college, students discuss and learn the practical points to care, cure and manage patients, making it most interesting and important feature of mbbs

internship:
after completing 4 and 1/2 years of studies and passing the final exams, the students have to undergo compulsory rotatory internship which is 1 year duration. during this candidates are posted to various departments to gain the experience in treatment
the posting schedule is generally-
medicine(1 and 1/2 months), obstetrics and gynaecology(2 months), surgery( 1and 1/2 months), preventive and social medicine(3 months), paediatrics(1 month), family welfare(1/2 month), skin and std(1/2 month), orthopedics(1/2 month), opthalmology(1/2 month), ent(1/2 month) and 1/2 month to (optional) anesthesia/ blood bank/ clinical pathology/ dental/ psychiatry/ radiology/ pediatrics' surgery

after successful completion of internship, mbbs degree is awarded

after mbbs degree, if doctor wants to practice in india, he/she must get registered with medical council of india which provides permanent registration number to all doctors and maintains indian medical register

if after mbbs, one wants to go abroad to practice and study more, then they can appear for PLAB(for uk) and USMLE( for usa)
dotors can also appear for various pg entrance tests to continue post graduation in india

we will keep on discussing topics like this! keep yourself updated by subscribing to e-mail feeds!
